Disclaimer: Values Are Estimates, Not Lab Results
By The Nutrition Labels team
Last reviewed
The values on your label are estimates from USDA data. We are not a laboratory, we are not the FDA, and no label made here is FDA approved. You are responsible for every value and every allergen you print.
Check before you print
- Compare each ingredient with its USDA match. A different brand can change the numbers.
- Check the grams. A wrong amount changes every value.
- Answer the allergen questions from your real kitchen, including sauces, shared equipment and processing aids.
- Check your state and the FDA rules for your product, size and any claims.
When to use a lab instead
Use a laboratory analysis if you make a nutrient content claim or a health claim, sell widely or through large retailers, or make a product that differs a lot from average foods. The method page explains what our estimate leaves out.
Liability
Our terms limit our liability for a claim about the service to the amount you paid, which we refund. This disclaimer does not limit rights you have by law.
